What Is Non Shrink Cementitious Grout

Non-shrink cementitious grout is commonly used for filling and grouting of base plates in steel framed buildings, crane rails, machinery beds, balustrades, bridge bearing pads and dowel bars. Most of the time, they can be used from “dry packs” to highly flowable consistencies without having to compromise the strength and it non-shrink properties. They only require the on-site addition of water to produce a non-shrink grout of predictable performance.

Furthermore, higher performance non-shrink grouts are available for situations demanding resistance to dynamic loading, vibration and corrosion due to harsh environments and chemical attack. Experts say that they are ideally suited for machinery anchoring and bedding in the automotive and canning industries. Moreover, there are also waterproofing grout (a mixture of cement concrete with waterproofing solutions) A free-flowing, expanding grout. This fills the gap between pipe inserts into concrete/masonry walls and floors. It is non-shrinking and fast setting material which provides long-lasting water tight seal.

Non-shrink Cementitious Grouts Features:

     Good dimensional stability
     Versatile
     Economical, low in-place cost
Ready to use, pre-mixed, requires only the addition of water
Non-staining – chloride and iron free
     Lower water/cement ratio
     educed drying shrinkage
     Increased hardness and durability
     Reduces Permeability
     Proven and predictable performance

PREPARATION:
Corrotech experts say that the surface onto which the grout is to b applied must be scabbled to remove laitance and expose the aggregate. It is also important to remember not to use hammers or similar preparation tools that can crush the aggregate but leave it in place. Also, the surface should be free from oil, dust, paint, curing compounds or any other dirt.

STORAGE:
Make sure to store out of direct sunlight, clear of the ground on pallets protected from rainfall and ensure to avoid excessive compaction. Failure to comply with the recommended storage conditions may result in premature deterioration of the product of packaging.

PRECAUTION:
The temperature of both the grout and the elements coming into contact with the grout must be in the range of +10°C  to +35°C. Keep in mind not to use water in an amount or at a temperature that will produce a consistency more than fluid or cause the mixed grout to bleed or segregate.
